This one starts with cleaning my room tonight. And this here, hopefully, will be a ever evolving post.
I am a scared young women. And that is a universal truth for anyone in their late twenties. Today I faced two very important things, one you can’t base what you want on someone else’s life’s time. That is not yours to work with. And secondly, words that are given out as promises or assurances are scary burden to load on your shoulders.
I didn’t give any life saving promises, just that I would wait for 5 minutes. A customer needed a last minute exchange of materials, so that they could complete their said renovation in given time. Both the painters and customers had things that they wanted to move on too. Something a personal experience of mine, makes me empathise with. I am not a very interesting person, but I do make things around me interesting. Choosing to go on a path with very little knowledge usually means, mistakes and lots of them. Think about planning a trip to a beach with making U-trip every given turn. Exhausting isn’t it. It is! And right now I am exhausted. Why? I have a thousand things without knowing how to do either one of them. Its the worst choice one can make for one’s self. I did, its called over compensating for survivor’s guilt. You need to do more than everyone else. You need to know more, achieve more and live more. How do you do that?
I have back-story, who doesn’t. After living on this earth for around 26 years and then some months. I would believe you have less life in you, if you don’t have a back-story. Was that judgemental? Who knows, I am not questioning all my words anymore. But the point is, I love to roam, wander around and return back home. A streak of qualities not appreciated, never valued and often berated in females. Who will take care of the house? Who will cook? Who will complete those little menial tasks that take forever of your life to end. And then they don’t, fix one and ten breaks. I am used to silence, its a quality I have come to be grateful for. Another is faith, and interesting entity it is. Its neither religion nor emotion.
Clean wall and cluttered floor. So many things I want to do here. Tonight I will do the most important one. Let go!!! Two powerful words, and yet their effect on overall life is devastating. May the picture of it tomorrow morning bring some peace of mind.
Don’t just try and figure out if you are depressed or not, with symptoms listed abound.
Fight to live for another moments, like morning’s bird’s sound.
They talk and sing, whole day around.
But its the silence of dawn, when their sweetness is found.
Wait for it, work hard for it and stay alert for your own happiness.
Its okay to be selfish, if you live another day on your own.
Its okay not to be perfect, if your best if good enough for now.
Its okay to sing a crass song in the shower, if silences the cries of demons inside.
The demons only win, if you live to die.
Death will come, don’t worry about it, worry won’t change a single fact.
Think about you, this moment and what difference both of those can make.
And do those, even if the worlds trolls and calls you names.
You might not, but they will forget, only remembering when you have made it intact.
Thats when you realise, the scars are beautiful,
Your tears are cleaning your soul, and for whats it worth.
The pain today might or might not make you stronger.
But what you will realise, is that you thought you were surviving the hell on this Earth.
If you loved from heart and gave your-living all, You Lived!
And what matters most, in human life, THAT IS ALL.
LOVE AND PEACE.
To let live, you need to live yourself first.
So much time spend on writing and rewriting words of concept in beautiful forms. Wish I had imagined stories with them, those which stay in your realm of fantasy. Rather than trying to craft them into a beautiful picture to appreciate in future, which is being tossed into “raddi” in that ‘future’ that has come to pass.
Can one truly be free? It’s was great to read your post about surviving and still living.
I started 2015 on a private island in Panama, with 150 rupees ($2.5 USD) in my account.
That’s the lowest my account balance has ever been since I quit my corporate job over four years ago. It was just one of those weeks when every single payment I was expecting got delayed. I had no idea how I would pay for my meals and transfers – they didn’t accept credit cards and my alternate debit card wasn’t working – but instead of panicking, I immersed myself in the Nat Geo-like setting of my hideout (think sting rays doing backflips, dolphins swimming with their kids, bioluminescent algae lighting up the waters).
At my private island hideout in Panama.
As luck would have it, by the time I checked out and went to an ATM with my host, one of my payments had *just* come in! PHEW.

Rotoscopy. Masking process.
No time again, so BASICS.
* DO AS LITTLE WORK AS POSSIBLE.
EFFICIENT, AND NOT SLOPPY.
*YOU ARE AN ARTIST.
*ANALYSE YOUR SHOT.
BREAKING THR SHOT APART.
*MOVING SHAPES AND NOT POINTS.
SHAPES AS A WHOLE,
MATCH THE SHAPE OF THE ORIGINAL MOVEMENT.
*IF IT AIN’T WORKING… TRASH IT.
PS: THIS IS A RIP OFF FROM A FRIEND’S BOOK. BUT IT WAS REALLY USEFUL, WHEN I STARTED DOING ROTOSCOPING IN AFTER EFFECTS. BOUJOU BASICALLY KILLED ME BACK THEN.
NOW ABT SILHOUETTE INTERFACE.
*Import media from file menu.
*create a new session, choose the media when do this.
*make the format in the in the option proper.
*choose the node you need.
*Update: Drag. For real-time update in mouse movement.
F-fit to screen
H-zoom to 100%
Ctrl for– zoom in and out with mouse scroll…… Drag the time slider…
You can go through a ton of videos and you will still come back to the French one. It’s on the top list of YouTube videos for REALFLOW tutorials. You hardly understand a word of it. I might be trilingual, but got zero clue about French. *Found about that through comments*
Now back to the point to remember. Am tight on time.
So it’s going to be about to the point, NOTES.
*THE GEOMETRY HAS TO BE INACTIVE.
*IF POSSIBLE USE VOLUME KF THE EMITTER RATHER THAN SPEED.
*FOR THE PARTICLES TO TAKE PROPER SHAPE, IN MAGIC MODE USE NEAREST FACE AND NOT RANDOM SHAPE.
*AND RANDOM WITHIN FACE SHOULD BE NO.
*KEEP THE INTERNAL(INT) PRESSURE OF EMITTER LOW, FOR CLIMBING EFFECT. (CANT FIND A BETTER TERM.)
*TURN VISIBILITY OF OBJECT OFF TO SEE WHAT PARTICLE LOOK LIKE.
*APPROACH STRENGTH AND ESCAPE STRENGTH ARE EQUAL, MEANS THE PARTICLES won’t STAY STEADY AND WILL KEEP ON GOING BACK AND FORTH.
*APPROACH STRENGTH IS MORE THAN ESCAPE STRENGTH, THE PARTICLES WILL MISBEHAVE AND NOT STICK TO THE OBJECT.
*LESS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE APPROACH STRENGTH AND ESCAPE STRENGTH, MORE SPLASHES IN THE SIMULATION.
*HIGHER VALUES IF APPROACH AND ESCAPE STRENGTH, lengthens THE SIMULATION PROCESS.
*DOUBLE CLICKING ON THE NAME IF THE parameters, OPENS CURVE EDITOR.
*MAKE SURE THE ANIMATION CURVE FOR ACTIVE AND INACTIVE MAGIC DAEMON, IF SIMULATING MULTIPLE OBJECTS, IS A STRAIGHT LINE AND NOT GOING UP OR DOWN.
A 2D STAIR LIKE BUTTON, IS USED.
*PAY ATTENTION TO MESH, AS TO THE SIZE OF THR CELL.
If one is new to compositing, one’s first choice would be Fusion. For one its less heavy than After Effects, and basically cheaper than Nuke. Its free, with limitations, that you would probably not use as a STudent. A beginner anyways goes through Youtube and does what anyone in their right mind, or with a little bit common sense should. Start learning from there. One of the scary things, especially for a beginner is coding or expressions that is involved, for some really cool stuff. And I came across a tutorial with such intresting details, that I thought I should jot it down.
So here goes.
First the link.
NOW, these are applied to the pCustom node, Particle tab.
get= get value
a colour value
d= if the value are out of bounds, fusion will read the h values of bitmap of the incoming bitmap
get the red channel of the first input and that should be based on the age of the particle in x, and o.5(which is the centre) in the y.
After this in all honesty, everything went right above my head.
So thats that for now.
First try and a interesting river came up to row through. Listening to Running with the wolves tonight by Aurora. And PFTRACK with Google.
So for now, am using a different footage/video.
I imported a very old and loving video of me stalking a baby bird in my house, with a very old digital camera. Though I went through the whole process of finding out where the beautiful list of keyboard and mouse shortcuts is. Which by the way I am gonna call k.m.sh. now. I am going to use the on the screen buttons to zoom in and out.
I played the video once, which made grey C go green. I believe it’s been cached. And I checked all the colour channels with those cute colour buttons.
There are so many buttons around. Playing with was fun…
*Node collector looks like an AI head band. In PFTRACK manual it calls the tree. Media pool looks like discount version of excel, the green OK made me feel assured. Now back to the needed work.
*There are these three pretty buttons on the centre top of the interface.
Cut copy paste???
Push them twice and learn their advice.
*Let’s get tracking.
So first. I want to track the camera. As I want to place a 3d scene there.
And then the movement of the baby bird.
*But it’s me, I will start with movement tracking. There is no save button, will Google abt it later.
*Should I leave links in the post for future reference. Probably I should. I will procrastinate for a while on that thought.
Click the Create, click the auto correct.
Oh now I know why it’s called the tree. I feel like a five year old. OK. Let’s first try and default settings with out learning a shit about it. I should watch my language.
The auto track button took a second to figure out. Using this software without languages skill might be hard work I guess.
Haha it’s doing a bad job. 640*480 res, is working its magic.
The camera was in the floor, so hardly any movement from it. But birds have jerky movement.
There was a small shift in the camera So…
OK, after tracking comes solving??
Create – Camera Solver – Solve all.
Yay, now I have colourful dots all over my screen. Will be back after a little tinkering.
Am back. And leaving to do a few YouTube videos. Cause now I am truly lost.
Create – Orient scene – Marquee select the point on the ground, imagine where the camera was and set the 3d plane. Easy peesy. My @$$.
Try test object??
Not bad I guess.
OK time to take it to the juggernaut Maya.
Create – Export – Export scene.
OK.. Ended up exporting fbx. Don’t know how to use it.
Go back, change settings. Maya ASCII. Yep. Work done.
Off to Maya.
Chapter 1 for me.
Understanding the basic overview.
•The interface looks like a photograph took with the rule of third gone wrong. 🙂
• Getting a file in is a simple process of multiple clicking around. First Create under Projects.
Settings- Data management-Project.
•But to make the project file. Click the confirm button under Projects.
•• Off to next screen.
•Four grey boxes on upper side.
•One big one on the lower side.
••Lets check out the preferences.
•Global settings button!!
•First things first- Cache.
Giving it around 3gb.
Remember to clear it!
•Cinema is making no sense to me. (May change background colour after some research).
•Disk I/O- Completely bounced off. (What’s a chunk size).
• Export- where and in which style do you want to send your file. Understood.
• File translations – Naming/Nomenclature. Whatever floats ones boat. No actual idea right now.
• General – The boss is here!
Okay, so how many cores of CPU I can give it. (I work on one thing at a time). So a my cores. Me poor thing has four.
The funny part was, the number of default undos was 2, I added a 0 to it.
Metres work fine for me, as scene unit.
• Import edit – No idea whatsoever again. Let it all be at default.
• Input devices – Jog sensitivity? Pftrack is health conscious I guess.
• Keyboard/Mouse – Hahahaa. Found this treasure. Will write abt it later. (Went to notes, and added a reminder).
• Media bins – a safe place I won’t mess with.
A day of pf track concludes with checking the software out. Off to next part.
